The Chromatic Harp – a fascinating journey

I compiled this tune book with classical pieces many years ago. Some are harp pieces which I’ve done on pedal harp in the 90es, some are arrangements for lever harp, some from piano books. Sometimes I merge several versions of the same piece. It’s still a challenge to come up with techniques for the cross strung harp to make each phrase and note just sound right; the angle at which a string is played having a big influence on the sound quality. A flexible wrist is an advantage, to adapt the angle to each individual note and tease the best possible sound out of each string.
Which also means to develop callous on different parts of the finger, especially the pinky! I’m working on Pachelbel and Bach at the moment.
